Urban life around the Institute continues to defy the situationist need to go on the dérive. Footage from April of this year has just come in, featuring a duck and ducklings that took to the pavement at some distance from water, as if compelled to exercise their nervous urbanity.

But as if the restless spirit of Bataille were not thus rested, the trees around the Institute have taken to wearing crinolines amid an autumnal foliage that now, amid winter, seems implausible:
